• O-ring joint
  - A plumbing joint where the seal relies on a rubber or plastic O-ring between two surfaces.
• Oak graining
  - Technique for painting woodwork to give it the appearance of highhquality wood.
• Ogee
  - A moulding with an S-shaped cross-section.
• Open plan
  - A living area which is not defined or broken up by fixed partitions.
• Orbital sander
  - Power sander that makes a series of tiny high-speed cuts to finely smooth wood surfaces.
• Out of plumb
  - Not vertical.
• Overload
  - Exceed the working capacity of a circuit.
• Oxidize
  - Corrosion of metal caused by its combination with oxygen. To form a layer of metal oxide, as in rusting.
